My impatiens are doing really well. You can see a little thistle seed near them; this is for our little gold finches.

I'm growing chamomile to make my own tea. I'll probably only get one cup out of this crop but it's still fun.

Back From Camp

The weekend was really fabulous. There was grilling, lounging, boating, and the tiki bar. Austin's family is great and everyone was really easy to get along with so that made it very relaxing. His aunt and uncle's cabin was beautiful and somehow, they managed to sleep ten in there plus there were a few families in campers or tents. I think at one point, there were 25 of us total.

The lake it is on is made by a dammed river so a group of us decided to float down the river back to the cabin. We had a canoe, three blow-up rafts, and one of those floaty chairs. Austin and I were in the canoe and everyone else tied on to us but it made it impossible to steer the canoe. We had a bit of struggle and finally, his dad and aunt switched with us so we got to lounge for the rest of the trip.

Even though it was really relaxing, we were beat when we got home yesterday afternoon. We did about four loads of laundry and dragged ourselves out for groceries. It was worth it, though, and we'll be home Fourth of July weekend so that will be nice.

Ready to Head to Camp!

This weekend, I'm going to Austin's family reunion, at a cabin in northern WI. I'm looking forward to doing a little boating and lounging in a hammock. There is also supposed to be a really cool tiki bar.
